In een interview heeft Robert Pattinson te kennen gegeven dat de beroemde filmster/hunk/idool uit de jaren ‘50, James Dean (o.a. bekend van de film Rebel without a Cause), een inspiratiebron is geweest voor zijn rol als Edward Cullen in de Twilight-saga.
